A velar nasal can be inserted after nasal vowels before /k/ and /k'/. However, this is optional and rather a result of assimilation processes. Example: canka /tɕãka/ - street [cã:ka] or [cãŋka]

Miwonša has essentially a past vs. non-past distinction, but due to the presence of aspect markers the future tense can be indicated by combining the present tense with the perfective aspect. Furthermore, there are some periphrastic futures.
