In the Shire dialect /k, ɡ/ are
realised as [tʃ, dʒ] before a front
vowel. /x/ is realised as [h]
in word-initial position.
In the Gondor dialect /x/ has merged
with /h/ but is still articulated in
coda position before /t/.
